CARPET CLEANING GONE CITRUS

Ever wonder why after shampooing your carpet, it quickly returns to a dirty, if not dirtier, state? Well the reason is the shampoo you’re using. Citrus is the new fad to eliminate your problem. A cleaning process called CitruSolution eliminates residual problems caused by other means of cleaning so your carpets can stay cleaner longer, dry faster and smell great.

Citrus is a more effective way to clean and protect your carpet and furniture. It has the ability to maintain the appearance of carpet and furniture, and at the same time minimize allergens. If you take your fine clothes to the dry cleaner to avoid damage, wouldn’t it make sense to avoid damage caused by soap and water on your expensive carpet? Citrus is effective against grease, soils, pet stains and fights yellowing and oxidation that can dull carpet.

CitruSolution is a dry cleaning fluid process with a twist of lemon, orange and grapefruit. This type of cleaner is powered by Mother Nature herself, and is extracted from citrus peels, which contain d-Limonene. Since d-Limonene solvent is extracted from natural resources (orange and lemon peels) the solvent does not add any materials into the environment other than what would occur naturally. This is an important issue to water treatment plants and everyone who drinks water.

Carpets should be cleaned once a year. However it is recommended that you should have them cleaned every six months if you have pets, small children, or spend a lot of time on the carpet. Carpet tends to collect pollutants that enter our home in the air or cling to our clothing, fur or feet. It settles into our carpets and onto upholstered surfaces just like a furnace filter collects dust and airborne particles. Since homes today are tightly insulated, it only adds to the problem, trapping them into our living quarters.

Organic deposits found in our carpets can include food crumbs, beverage spills, dead skin cells, hair, dead insects, insect droppings, residues from heating and cooling, pet soil, and other “biogenic” wastes. This biological debris provides a breeding ground for microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi, dust mites, and mold. Regular cleaning reduces and controls these biocontaminants. Every time you walk across the carpet, you stir up these pollutants into the air, and they can stay there for an hour or more. This is why carpet cleaning is foremost a health issue and secondarily an appearance issue.

Some helpful tips to carpet care are to vacuum consistently, every day if possible, but no less than once a week. Reduce the humidity in your home. Dust mites cannot drink, so they can only live in humidity higher than 50% and they thrive in humidity over 70%. And be sure to have those carpets cleaned at least annually.
